Trigger IFTTT Applet

Using the Maker channel on IFTTT we can make Quadro launch any workflow.

What you need

From IFTTT
  1. Create a new workflow
  2. Select "Maker" as trigger > Receive a web request
  3. Give a recognisable name to the event and save it
  4. Select any action, configure it as you like
  5. Go to https://ifttt.com/services/maker_webhooks/settings
From Quadro
  1. Edit the downloaded action
  2. Substitute [event_name] in “Set text: [event_name]” with the IFTTT event name just created
  3. Substitute [key] in “Set text: [key]” with the alphanumeric code obtained in the Maker settings page.

Passing values

We can also trigger the event passing dynamic values, such as a text, number or else.

From IFTTT
  1. Follow all previous steps
  2. When creating the triggered action, take advantage of the available ingredients

From Quadro
  1. Follow all previous steps
  2. In "Get page content" action, add one or more new fields in the request body, using value1, value2 or value3  in the "key" field
  3. In the “value” field, you can either:
  • set the specific value you want to pass
  • use a variable previously created in the workflow
  • select the "Ask me" option in the keyboard to have the value prompted each time
  • select the "Get from input" option in the keyboard to use a value produced by the previous action
